Kid’s Farm Camp

June 3rd and 5th 9:00am to 12:00pm

Location: Freeman Farm in Columbia

Ages 4 through 16

We are absolutely thrilled to offer Kid’s Farm Camp as part of our CAB LAB series! Farm Camp will take place at Freeman Farm located in Columbia off Carters Creek Pike. Students age 4 through 16 will join Farmer Holly as we explore aspects of farm life and learn from hands on experience with the animals. Students will engage in multiple arts and crafts projects based on our farm day activities and all will have a lot of time to work with the animals. We will explore chicken keeping, how to shear a goat, lead training cattle and goats, general animal husbandry, and more. Students ages 4 through 7 must have a chaperone present. Only students within the age range will need to purchase tickets. Children and babies ages 3 and below and parents, guardians ages 17 and up may attend with a ticketed student at no cost, although art projects and activities may only be available to registered students, depending on the amount of extra supplies available.

This camp will take place outside and students will be actively engaging in gritty and dirty farm fun! Please dress accordingly. Please bring water, a snack, and a lunch. We will break for snack time at 10:30 am and lunch at 11:30am. A refrigerator will be available to store perishables. Class will begin at 9:00am and the farm gates will be open at 8:45am. An email will be sent to all students with exact address and any additional information needed.
