Learn to use the healing power of herbs that you already have in your kitchen or your backyard!  

In this workshop, we’ll focus on common herbs that are easy to acquire and work with for beginners. Common herbs found in the kitchen such as garlic, ginger, thyme, mint, as well as lavender, calendula, and even local plants you can find in your backyard, such as passion flower and plantain.  

Participants will make and take home a healing ointment from plantain, which grows abundantly here in Middle Tennessee.

Bring a pen and a notebook, because Julia has a wealth of information to share with you about all the amazing properties of these herbs!


This class is open to all ages.

Julia Skinner is a seasoned instructor here at the Columbia Arts Building. From teaching yoga, jewelry making, and natural home and body products, Julia adds a wealth of knowledge and creativity to our community. Get to know Julia and learn from her!
