Spring Break Kids Class: Paper Mache Crayons
2 day workshop - Monday April 1 & Wednesday April 3, 2019
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Columbia Arts Building, Level 1
**Must enroll by Friday, March 29
**

This class is paying an homage to every kid’s first artist tool - the one and only crayon.

In this paper mache class, students will build their very own larger than life-size crayon. Students will get to design their crayon from the ground up using recycled supplies such as paper towel and toilet paper rolls as the base.

Students will then come up with their very own unique color and name for their crayon. During the workshop, your instructor will encourage you to think outside of the box of crayons in order for you to have your very own unique crayon.

At the end of the two-day workshop, students will walk out with skills in sculpture, design, and color mixing - and a crayon of their own creation!

This class is geared towards kids and teens ages 8 - 14. Ages 5-7 are welcome to participate with a parent staying to help.

We will be playing with glue and paint, so wear clothes that can handle a little mess!
